The video is only 30 minutes long and doesn't require any extra things (like the firming band).įYI- I do think I pulled my something in my arm doing the punches when I first started. I do this video on days when I am not really wanting to move much. I consider this to be one of the slower paced videos of hers. I do wish there was more kick boxing type moves in the video, but it is a good work out. I enjoy the new "moves" as the other videos I have done are the same moves over and over again. The walk kick DVD from Leslie Sansone's walk away the pounds series offers a change in the normal routine. This particular routine is approximately the same time and distance as two miles of walking outside. You can do her workouts in the privacy of your own home, without the pressure of dressing up and driving to an expensive gym. There is no dancing and the choreography is easy to follow. Her workouts are fun and effective and get you moving. Anyone who is interested in home workout DVD's should definitely give Leslie Sansone a try. She also includes a few punching sets that resemble regular boxing. Anyone who is new to kick boxing will love this routine because it is a great introduction to kick boxing workouts. However she has now included kick boxing which takes your workout to a whole new level of intensity. In this DVD Leslie has her four basic steps: marching in place, side steps, knee lifts and kicks. Walk Away the Pounds: Walk and Kick has quickly become one of my favorites. Leslie is a great instructor that has helped me lose a lot of pregnancy weight. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend trying the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds: Walk and Kick workout DVD! It's a low intensity but good workout and Leslie is very encouraging a down to earth.

I really like tae bo and kickboxing, so having the opportunity to kick and jab a little during this particular workout made me enjoy it even more! It is not difficult even with the added kicking and jabbing components, so don't let that worry you if you are a beginner. This is actually one of my favorite of her workout DVD's due to the kicking aspect of it. Although this workout is simply a "walking" one you actually do get a workout! I end up a little out of breath a little bit and even sweat a little. Leslie is bubbly, down to earth, and encouraging. I find my wrist worn count less when pushing a shopping cart or holding railings.I'm such a big fan of Leslie and her walking workouts! I enjoy being able to complete the workouts at home because I get self-conscious working out in front of people. I haven't compared them with Leslie, but if you are doing the upper body movements I think they would count more. I don't have a Flex, I do have other wrist-worn fitbits and they actually count more steps for alot of activities. My One tracks Leslue workouts fine, the calorioe burn is usually a little higher than my heart rate monitor credits for these, but not much higher. I need more like 2,500 steps for a mile as I am short. People often think they should get a mile for 2000 steps, but that really depends on how big those steps were. Also about the distance, it is based on an assumption you get a mile for a certain number of steps.

Some of the "steps" take more than one BPM to complete. I looked into it and learned that Leslie's distance is based on the beats per minute of the music.

I do not think these workouts actually have the exact step count for the mileage advertised. With Leslie and really most walking workouts it is under very significantly. When my Fitbit one is off by a tenth of a mile it is often over by that. The steps and mileage never add up to what is claimed. 1 of a mile (I did calibrate my stride settings though). The distance when I walk outside is within. If I take 200 carefully counted steps it undercounts a few, like it would say I took 195 steps.
